This picture was obtained by Richard van Gennip (Screaming Ducks) at a local bourse.
It clearly displays a soldier, with a certain armband, at a riverbank.

There are some very specific details visible on this picture.
- The building is very characteristic !
- At the left there is an arched bridge, just visible, leading to a village or city...
- the soldier is standing underneath what appear to be willowtrees...
- the sloping riverbank on the oposite site is pretty steep and has a brick wall on top...

Who has any idea where this picture has been taken ?
What kind of soldier is posing for this picture ?

This website is dedicated to all Allied Paratroopers of World War Two. They became a 'Band of Brothers' who enlisted for a new type of warfare. They jumped into occupied Holland on September 17th 1944 like Angels from the Sky. We will honor their heritage.
